Adrienne
Adrienne Watral

I started practicing yoga in September 2009 looking for a way to balance the stress of graduate school. I fell in love with it right away, as a way to get out of my overthinking brain and into my body. Four months later in January 2010 I shattered my L1 and L2 vertebrae in a snowboarding fall. Though I could not perform many (or any) of the postures to the full expression, I continued to get myself to yoga class daily while in a full body brace and wheelchair. I worked on the fundamentals: breathing, connecting with my body parts and contracting my muscles, mental focus. After six months I was practicing without a brace.

I went to teacher training in LA in the spring of 2011 and since graduating have taught yoga throughout the US and internationally, as well as continuing my education with additional 500 and 200 hour Yoga Alliance certifications.

I live here in Estes Park with my husband and 2 young daughters, and I'm so happy to be able to share the countless benefits of yoga with Estes Park.

Kathryn Conley
Kathryn Conley

My yoga practice began about six years ago, when my mom took me to a class at a local studio hoping it would give me some tools to manage my stress. At the time, I didn't quite know why yoga made me feel the way it did, but I continued attending classes because of the sense of peace and belonging I felt on my mat. Today, my yoga practice offers me the space and tools to get to know myself better with each time I practice.

Yoga provides us with a unique opportunity to look inwards in the absence of external judgment, and to be soft with ourselves while challenging ourselves at the same time. Upon the completion of my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Bellingham Yoga Collective in 2021, I fell in love with creative sequencing and the subtle attention to energetics, alignment, and anatomy that goes into creating new sequences to share with others. In my classes, I hope to provide powerful and grounding sequences that offer students space to listen deeply and cultivate whatever it is that they may be needing. Off the mat, you can find me outside hiking, mountaineering, and jumping in all the chilliest alpine lakes.

Gillian
Gillian Fitzgerald

My yoga practice began my freshman year of undergrad, when by chance I ended up in a semester-long Intro to Yoga Foundations course hosted by two local studio owners. To say that class changed my life is an understatement. In the winter of 2023, I found my commitment to my practice truly beginning to change. Living in the mountains of New Mexico in a town with a population of fewer than thirty, no cell service, and no wifi access-- yoga found me once again. As I began to tune inwards to myself, it became clear that yoga was to be a part of my life as consistent and intuitive as breathing or brushing my teeth. Currently, I am in the process of receiving my 200hr YTT online and eager to learn more, commit deeper to my practice, and to share it with others. When I'm not in the studio, you can find me playing with dirt and rocks in the National Park.

Caryn
Caryn Ling

Caryn has been teaching movement since 2008 when she was started teaching kickboxing. She went on to teach strength training, bootcamp, and cycling. In 2010 she decided to pursue yoga as a way to round out both her body and her teaching skills. Caryn found that physical movement combined with the philosophy of yoga provided a deeper understanding of both the body and the mind. Ah! a balance of moving and thinking....she knew she was on to something. She completed her teacher program in 2012 and then participated in a 10 month mentorship in therapeutic yoga. Caryn continues to explore as many different kinds of movement and yoga as she can including hiking, hooping, and climbing. Her main yogic influences are Hatha, Therapeutics, and Ashtanga. "Yoga for me comes down to balance: the balance of movement and stillness, the balance of doing and being, the balance of strength and flexibility. Yoga has taught me to value and appreciate what I can do now and get excited about what I have yet to learn. We never have to be done learning AND we can be content along the way."
